If you currently reside in, or have ever stayed in a College dorm, you know how difficult it can be to get comfortable because of the size of the room. Even if you have enough room, it is difficult to have any privacy.
Space saving ideas for College dorms can be creative. Depending on the dorm rules for your particular College, many now allow either the construction or use of dorm loft beds.
Dorm loft beds can be constructed from your own materials and plans, or you can buy kits and manufacture your own. In either case, they will not only allow you to maximize the space, they can be quite decorative or artsy. These lofts can give you comfort that you need and the privacy that you require.

Dormitory Space Saving
I didn't live in a dorm when I went to College. I already had a family and also felt that the dorm life was not conducive to a quality education. I guess it all depends on how you look at it.
Although I did not stay permanently in a dorm room, I have visited some and also slept in some when I was visiting a friend in College.
I remember how small they were and there were a lot of people packed into an area, not much bigger than some people's bathroom. It reminded me of those old dares where you tried to see how many people you could get into a phone booth or a Volkswagen.
While different Universities, Colleges and schools have dorm rooms of different shapes and sizes, they are all small.
The biggest concerns that I have read about dorm rooms is to make them more like home, so you will feel comfortable, comfortable beds, or the biggest concern, privacy.
Dorm loft beds provide the student with all of these. You can climb up onto the bed, slap on your headphones and you will feel much more at home. If it is quiet, you don't even need the headphones.
