Do You Love the Ocean?

Updated on March 31, 2013

I have Traveled to Different Oceans over the Years and have Loved Visiting every One!

When I was younger, I was nowhere near an ocean.

The only times that I ever got to see an ocean was when we visited our Grandparents in Florida.

Since my childhood, I have lived in several locations around the world. I always travel to the ocean and just love to sit and look.

I created this website because of my love of the ocean. I don't like to be out on it, but I do love to gaze at it from the beach.

My beach and ocean photo collection is from my many trips in the last 10 or so years, when I had a camera with me.

I hope you enjoy these photos and please take time to participate in my quizzes and polls and please leave a note in the Guestbook.

"There was a magic about the sea. People were drawn to it. People wanted to love by it, swim in it, play in it, look at it. It was a living thing."

Oceans, Oceans and more Oceans!

Oceans have been a fascination to men since the beginning of time.

People are drawn to the ocean and once you are there, the vastness of the ocean is mesmerizing. The sounds of the waves and the motion of the surf is calming.

Many use videos and sounds of the ocean in relaxation recordings. Even without the visual, the sound of the sea is very therapeutic.

I have seen several oceans but am partial to either the Atlantic or Pacific. I love watching the sunrise over the Atlantic and have been at many sunsets over the Pacific.

Most of the time, there are scenes that are not monotonous and include wildlife or flora that will not be there the next time you visit.

Taking a walk along the ocean with the one you love also gives you a feeling that you can't get anywhere else. Although some may call it romantic, I would just call it "right."

I hope you enjoy my journey to the ocean; my favorite place to be and something I truly love to experience!

This book has a different perspective of the ocean beach. It not only shows the common areas, it also shows the hard to get to spots and interesting perspective shots. This makes a great coffee table book for the ocean lover.

What is the Difference between an Ocean and a Sea?

Most people use the terms "ocean" and "sea" hand in hand.

However, there is a geographic difference between the two.

The easiest explanation is that a sea is generally smaller than an ocean and a sea is also partially enclosed by land.

"There is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away."

"We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came. "

"The ocean was so incredibly vast, the universe was so large, and suddenly I saw myself in proportion to that, a little pebble of sand, a jellyfish floating on top of the water; traveling with the current I felt dwarfed, temporary."

This is the best way to relax; watching beautiful images with a soundtrack of relaxing music. I used to just like the music but the images are also very calming.
