How to Raise a Child Genius

We all want a child who is better than the other kids; one that can play an instrument better, sing better, gets better grades or is just better in what they do than what we did.

In the animal World, the strongest survive so this may be some form of internal instinct to have the best. That is probably why we love competition; to prove that we can be better.

Despite of that, we all want out kids to not have to experience some of the shortcomings that we did. However, these shortcomings make us who we are. I simply did not want my children to suffer any consequences, although we all know that children will try on their own anyway. Even though you say the stove is hot, sometimes they have to touch it themselves to find out.

It seems that starting as a baby is the way to go. Most people do not see the potential in their children. I used to teach Karate and know that the littlest children learned it faster and better than the older children.

With all this being said, do not underestimate the intelligence of your child or in what they can learn. Start early and be persistent. This will help your child overcome anxieties that we had. I had math anxiety and if I had learned math earlier in life or it had been made fun, I would not have had those anxieties.

Following is a top ten list of wonderful books that have been proven to make your child more intelligent. While you may not buy all of them or use all of the techniques, you should try some of them. You will be amazed at what your child can learn.

Browse through the selections; buy some for your own use and these make wonderful gifts.
