Homemade and Inexpensive Gifts for the Economically Challenged

Updated on August 31, 2017

Gifts for Those That Don't Have the Funds or Just Don't Want to Spend the Funds

This website was created with 2 different economically-challenged people in mind. One of them is the person that just doesn't have a lot of cash and wants to make an impact with their gift while the other person just doesn't want to spend money. Whether they don't necessarily want to buy for someone but are obligated to do so, or they are just not a big spender.

We will explore different categories of gifts. Most of them will be inexpensive but some will follow the current trend of a homemade gift! Almost everyone appreciates the special touch of a touch that is made by someone else and gives a personal meaning to that gift.

These gifts can be for Christmas but can also be for any gift-giving occasion!

I hope this website helps inspire you and you end up with your goal of the perfect gift!

Have You Ever Needed to Buy a Gift and Needed Help?

My past experiences serve as my inspiration.

I was inspired to create this website because I have fallen into both of the categories of economically- challenged that I talked about in the introduction.

I have had several times in my life where I had a limited income. While I do like to make things for others, I looked for resources to also supplement my gift-giving and find that inexpensive gift that really works for someone. I am a person who loves to find a meaning for a gift and am truly a giver. I do not really like to receive gifts because if I want something, I usually get it for myself. I am not ungrateful for the fact that some people try to put their heart into it, but the majority of gifts given to me usually end up in the Goodwill collection box or are re-gifted.

On the other hand, I have had to attend office White Elephant parties or other occasions where I had a boss that I did not really think was worthy of a gift. I then had to buy something and was only inspired by obligation. I think everyone has fallen into one of these circumstances.

I hope that this website helps you out and would appreciate any comments that you can give me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Frame an Old Ad for the Nostalgic Collector or Lover of Memorabilia!

Anything that is written or artwork that is prior to 1923 is considered in the Public Domain. This means that you can copy it, alter it and re-use it to your heart's delight without any danger of copyright violation.

This ad is pre-1923 and I have found, one of the cheapest gifts you can create is to frame an old ad and give it as a gift. Wal-Mart has very expensive looking frames for $3-$5. Go to Google Images and find an old ad that relates to the person you are giving the gift to.

As an example for the image I have posted. It would be a good ad to print and frame for a Cowboy lover, a collector of Western Memorabilia, A John Wayne western movie fan or for lovers of war and battle. You can print it, frame it and give it as a gift for less than $5.00.

“You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.”

Here is another ad that I pulled from Google Images. It is also pre-1923 and is free to use and print as it is in the Public Domain.

This particular depiction could grace any nostalgic theme or anyone who loves that Art Deco or Art Noveau decor.

“Economy is the art of making the most of life.”
