Top Ten Things You Don't Want to Melt in the Arizona Sun
115 Degrees Fahrenheit, With No Relief in Sight!
One hot, sunny day in Arizona, which is most of the year, I didn't want to go outside but decided to stay in the house.
Out here, as in some other parts of the World it is difficult to venture out to do anything during the 115F degree temperatures. Why do you ask? Because if you go outside you will melt, along with anything else you decide to take out with you.
For the fun of it, I have compiled my Top Ten list of things that you don't want to take out in the Arizona sun for fear of melting.
I hope these things bring a few giggles and please forward to others who do not know what it is like to melt!
Have fun!
Melting Away the Hours
Yes, it is a hot day. Well, at least where I live. I went to the Post Office this morning and I couldn't get back to the house fast enough.
I don't particularly like this hot weather, but I choose to live here in Arizona. I think most live here because of the temperate Fall and Winter. During the late Spring and early Summer, I find myself fleeing the heat to cooler climates, much like people in the Winter who flee to warmer climates.
Growing up, I learned to not put things outside that would melt. I learned the hard way on a lot of things. Several warped records and cassettes (remember those?) later, I learned that the Sun does melt things, especially when left in a hot car.
In Arizona, I don't know how the pioneers could stand it. I was told many years ago by a man who had been here since the 1910s, that they used to wet their blankets and sleep with them covering themselves. That doesn't sound like much fun but I guess it worked.
This is a silly website of things that you shouldn't put in the heat or you will be sorry.
Thanks for taking this fun journey with me.
