Creating Fabulous Animated Winter Effects on Photos

Updated on June 24, 2014

Free Image Animation Effects for the Winter Season or a Winter Season Holiday

Nothing captures the moment like freshly falling snow.

Snow seems to quiet everything around it and all that it captures.

This website is dedicated to a way that I have learned to animate images with falling snow and also ways to animate images for holidays and other occasions.

I have inserted links below to the free animation program and also provided examples of what this program can do. Best of all, my Niece Deanna allowed me to use her photo for the examples. She is a beautiful girl and her photos even make the scenes more stunning!

I want you to visit and have fun so I have added some things that you can participate in. Hopefully, some will give you a chuckle or two.

Thank you for your visit!

Introducing Deanna Thomas

Isn't she a Doll?

Deanna Thomas is the wife of my Nephew, Tristan. They have four wonderful children and live in Ohio.

Deanna has a very warm smile and a great personality. She goes way beyond the girl next door and is a very loving Mother and Wife.

She has graciously allowed me to use her photo, which is just a casual snapshot. Her true beauty is captured in this shot and I am honored that she allowed me to use her as a model for this website.

Please leave Deanna some comments below, along with mine. We will be very happy to hear from you!

What is LunaPic.com?

LunaPic.com is a free online program that will place animated overlays on you photos, or manipulate them into other forms of animation.

They have Warhol color variations, cubes and many more versions that will make your images very unique. I have shown several on this page with Deanna as the model.

Give it a try. There is no fee and as far as I can tell, there are no charges for anything there. And no, I am not making anything for referring it.

"Snow Falling on Deanna" - Simple Snowfall Animation on a Black & White Photo

The LunaPic program allows you to take a simple black and white photo and add a snowfall effect. The original photo was color but I filtered it to black and white using Photoshop.

A Different Version of "Snow Falling on Deanna."

This snowfall is a little more detailed and some of it also appears to lay on the subject in the photo. Once again, using Photoshop, I have changed the color in the photo to black and white.

If you have always wondered what it would be like to "code" your Squidoo lens or other site with lettering, animation, etc., this is the book for you. I have learned some tricks though the year but still learn on a weekly basis. As I mentioned, this book is easy to understand and follows-through step-by-step for a "dummy" like me!

"Deanna Glitter-ized" - Who doesn't Love Glitter at Christmas?

This effect on LunaPic.com allows you to "glitterize" every all of the white in the photo. Simply apply the layer and it lays on its own.

A really cool gold glitter effect!

Hearts on Deanna for Valentine's Day

Who doesn't love hearts; especially on Valentine's Day?

This theme, when applied, places rising hearts on the image. Deanna's red outfit goes well with the pink in the hearts.

Those Lucky Shamrocks on Deanna for St. Patrick's Day!

Deanna's outfit was originally red and I altered it so it would not contrast as much with the shamrocks in this theme.

The shamrocks are a little large, in my opinion. However, this is still a very stunning theme and no matter what, Deanna still shines through.
