Rick the Zombie Boy

The Zombie Boy, otherwise known as Rick Genest or Rico, is a famous tattoo personality. Unlike Lucky Diamond Rich, the Zombie Boy does not cover over his tattoos to start over. He look as if he is turned inside out. He would be very useful in anatomy class and I would want him sitting in front of me when there was a test! I have created this site not to encourage you to do this to yourself, I wanted to highlight him because he is becoming a modern tattoo icon. Tattoos to the extreme!

Rick Genest started tattooing his body at age 19. He wanted to display his body as an art project and his very pale skin made a veritable blank canvas for the tattoo artist. Genest wanted his tattoos to depict a decaying body. Doing this, Genest created the icon of the Zombie Boy and the tattoos on his body created his career of a circus act and also a high paid fashion model. He was in sideshows for a while and then was discovered for runway modeling. The rest is history. He has been seen as the companion of Lady Gaga and others and with his young age, his career is only just beginning.

I thought that this character was an interesting subject and since my interests include body and graffiti art, I thought this would also be of interest to others.
